February Blahs    Indoor Workshop’   Feb 13th 2010    10am – 4pm

Stay warm & cozy while having fun learning the art of photographing reflections & glass. We’ll play indoors with various reflective surfaces largely using window light to produce awesome effects. What better way to ward off the February blahs!

 

5-Day Algonguin Winterscape         February 18th-21st & 28th *  2010 

This inspirational course held in Algonquin park is a must for any winterscape lover or anyone willing to discover the power

of winter imagery. We’ll explore for 4 days in Algonquin park/ Dwight area giving us many great opportunities for image making, bringing out the explorer in all of us.  *Evaluation day is held on February 28th  

 

1-Day Creating in the Field:   ‘Art in the Autoyard’       May 8th   &  July10th 2010

Explore the unlimited image-making possibilities of Art in the Autoyard. We’ll visit a junkyard with old cars, trucks,

tractors & buses. Call it a ‘textural tour’ if you will…The only thing holding you back is your imagination…  

 

5-Day Bruce Peninsula:   A Photographers Retreat’  June 2-6th & 13th * 2010

Bring your creativity to a new level while discovering the beauty of the Bruce Peninsula. Explore the unique land & waterscape potential with the aid of hands on instruction, inspirational lessons& personal assignments. You’ll experience the joy of learning in a calm, relaxed ‘retreat- like’ environment. Workshops are based out of the Lion’s Head area with many hidden gems nearby.

*Evaluation day is held on June 13th for valuable critique of your images.

 

1-Day Summer Solstice:   ‘A Summer Celebration’   June 26th 2010

Held in the Inglewood/Georgetown area of Ontario, this is a photographic celebration of the beginning of summer

& all the potential it brings. Marshes, landscapes & roadside delights will be explored with emphasis on visual design

 

1-Day Short & Sassy:  Adventures in wide angle’  September 11th 2010  

Using short focal lengths only, we’ll have fun learning about wide-angle perspective & the impact it can have on your images.

Probably the most misunderstood lens you own. Be prepared to explore some uncovered territory…

 

1-Day Toronto Architecture   Urban Cityscapes’  September 19th 2010

We’ll start at 12pm in the west GTA & travel to the downtown core for a tour of some of Toronto’s Historic architecture sites, including the Bay st. area, College park & the Distillery district.

 

 

 

*Evaluation Day   (Applicable on 4 & 5 day workshops only)

Held in the GTA (usually the following Sunday after the workshop), we meet for evaluation & discussion of your images.

This is an important part of the workshop experience. Please make yourself available for this time, in order to keep the energy   & flow of the workshop intact. Participants enjoy & learn from each other’s work and receive valuable critique.
